Many women living with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) often feel ignored and unsupported when they visit healthcare providers. A new study found that #women, especially #teens, had symptoms like missed periods, acne and hair loss dismissed for years. This delay in diagnosis left many feeling anxious, frustrated and isolated. When care was finally offered, the focus usually stayed on fertility and weight loss, overlooking day-to-day symptoms and mental health struggles. Many said they wanted help managing #acne, irregular cycles and #anxiety, but felt their concerns were brushed aside. With gaps in proper guidance, patients often turned to social media or random online advice, which raised the risk of misinformation. Around 10% of people with #ovaries live with PCOS, facing a higher chance of type 2 diabetes, heart problems and emotional health issues. The study calls for patient-cantered care that listens, addresses daily challenges and helps patients find trustworthy information and multi-specialty treatment. #OB-GYN #PCOS_Awareness #Patient_Voices #gynaecologist #nashik
